Basic business proofreading starts at a rate of $.030 per word. Typically, one page is 250-300 words.
Prices can fluctuate depending on the project you have in mind and the amount of technical language involved.

A timeline will be provided when an estimate is created, based on your preferred turnaround time and the size of the document(s).
Turnaround times refer to regular business days, Monday through Friday. However, weekends may be available and can be discussed. “Rush” rates will apply.
There is a $10 minimum fee per invoice.
Projects less than $35 will be billed upon completion.
Larger projects require a 50% deposit before proofreading begins, with the rest due within ten (10) days of receipt of the completed file.
Upon request, a sample of my work can be sent prior to undertaking a large project.
A surcharge may apply to any documents you ask me to edit according to a specific style guide (e.g., APA) or to a journal’s specific style requirements. I generally follow the Chicago Manual of Style, if unspecified.
Please note that late payments will be subject to a 10% late charge, with the initial charge being assessed on the first day the invoice is past due.
Invoices will be emailed and will include a secure “Pay Now” button. My payment provider accepts all major credit and debit cards, so you can easily pay online.
